Field Trip

As the tradition goes, a comprehensive field trip focused on local rapeseed growing is prepared for the Congress delegates. Upon conclusion of the Prague Congress, the field trip to several local rapeseed trial stations is prepared to introduce the important local winter rapeseed varieties as well as spring oilseed varieties grown locally, such as poppy, sunflower, mustard, soy, linseed etc. Basic information on growing and processing rapeseed in the Czech Republic will be provided together with information on typical technologies used.

Kněževes; at this station, different intensities of oilseed rape growing will be presented - from untreated plots to high intensity plots with all recommended treatments.  The final response to different intensities will be presented on each variety of oilseed rape.

Research stations Uhříněves and Červený Újezd; at these stations different varieties of oilseed rape are to be presented together with demonstration of different cropping systems connected with herbicide, fungicide, stimulator and nutrient treatments on oilseed rape.  Oilseeds are also to be shown on these locations, such as sunflower, poppy and other special oilseed crops.
